My Approach
My approach is integrative and collaborative, I strongly believe that the most successful therapy is adaptive, and that what works best is as individual as you are. I draw from narrative therapy, relational and attachment-based work, and parts-informed perspectives to help us better understand your story and your patterns without pathologizing who you are. I am trauma-informed, neurodiverse affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming. Our work is collaborative, relational, and insight-oriented- we will be investigatory partners, together.
Together, we might explore the stories you carry about yourself and the world. A core part of my work involves listening for, and unearthing together the meaning you're creating in your story. You are the expert on yourself and what you need, I have the expertise to help us access it. We may look into where those stories came from, how they’ve shaped you, and whether they still serve you. I approach therapy with a gentle curiosity, often guiding you to separate yourself from "the problem" so we can understand how it operates and notice what gives it power, and when it loosens its grip. We’ll also make space for the parts of your experience that can’t be rushed or changed right away, meeting them with care instead of shame.
At the heart of my work is helping you feel seen, safe, and understood.
About Me, MK
I hold a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles (2025), which is where I also aquired my Bachelors degree in Liberal Studies with a focus in psychology in 2023. I also studied early-childhood education at Holyoke Community College in Western Massachusetts.
Before my interest in therapy sparked, I spent years working in child development in schools and homes in Los Angeles and Western Massachusetts. Working with children, turns out, translates quite well to working with adults in therapy. We are all, after all, former children. My experience in child development continues to influence how I see people, staying radically curious about their unique experience. So much of what we struggle with makes sense when we understand the story of how it began. Sometimes parts of us get stuck in earlier experiences or ideas of ourselves. They can show up in ways that feel confusing or out of proportion, or get pushed aside altogether. I believe that therapy is a space to begin noticing and tending to those parts with more compassion.
